Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in shaping the security landscape of a dynamic company on the precipice of an IPO? Our client is seeking a visionary VP of Security to join their team and lead the charge in safeguarding their future.
This position offers the opportunity to imagine and conquer future challenges, spearhead the security roadmap as they navigate rapid growth and maturity in a forward-thinking environment.
As the VP of Security, you'll lead a growing team of three to cover a diverse range of technical elements, drawing on your extensive experience across security domains including secops, risk and assurance, devsecops (mainly SDLC), and incident response.
Your ability to effectively engage with founders and your insightful approach to addressing funding and growth challenges will be instrumental in shaping the security strategy.
This role will see you reporting directly to the CTO, with potential trips to Oslo to engage with leadership, further cementing your influence in steering the security vision.
With three days per week in the office in London or Oslo, and a relatively mature environment , the client offers a unique opportunity for a security leader with a startup mindset to make a substantial impact. Preferred Requirements:
- Extensive experience in security domains including secops, risk, devsecops, and incident response
- Demonstrated ability to effectively engage with founders and address funding and growth challenges
- A forward-thinking mindset with a proven track record in a startup or dynamic environment
- Experience working alongside IS027001 and familiarity with third party vendors
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to envision and tackle future security challenges
- Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master’s degree preferred
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent
- Proven experience in a similar security leadership role with a company heading towards IPO
