Head of Product
Job description
Trident Search has partnered with a cyber secuirty start up, who are searching for a Head of Product to join them immediately. As the Head of Product, you will be part of the Product team which is the key link between our Engineering team and the rest of the business, and you will be reporting directly to the Director of Product & Strategy. You will work with all areas of the business to understand the bsuiness priorities, define the product strategy & future direction of products, track & support their development, and test & iterate on them once they are delivered, and will manage the team of Product Managers.
Responsibilities:
• Support & implement product strategy & roadmap:
o Collaborate with the Director of Product & Strategy & executive team to define and refine the product vision and strategy.
o Align the product roadmap with the strategy & commercial requirements, to prioritise delivery of features & functionality.
o Manage scoping and associated delivery timelines to maintain delivery schedule for MVPs and iterations.
• Define & deliver solutions:
o Collaborate with teams (including Engineering, Cyber, Operations, Sales, and Marketing) to validate product ideas and develop viable concepts.
o Drive the product discovery process, including conducting user interviews, user testing, and gathering feedback to guide & validate product direction & ideas.
o Oversee the Product team’s design & specification of new products, features, and functionalities; and their work to support the engineering team in developing those solutions.
• Manage product-partner relations:
o Manage the Product team’s responses & support for business development opportunities – joining or delegating technical pre-sales calls and managing Product team contributions to sales proposals.
o Manage relationships with partners and facilitate seamless (API) integration of their services with products.
o Ensure compatibility, scalability, and reliability of partner integrations.
• Maintain and improve Product Management processes:
o Continuously review the product development lifecycle, and refine & establish effective Product Management tools, systems & processes.
o Develop & maintain our North Star metric & framework to measure & guide product success.
• Manage the Product team:
o Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to the Product team.
o Set clear goals and expectations for individual team members, and work with them to identify/create opportunities & develop a plan to meet these, particularly delegating & assigning responsibility to team members.
o Conduct regular one-to-one sessions with Product team members to support their growth and development.
