Job Description:

Are you an enthusiastic and eager security analyst who wants to be in a thriving SOC?

We are working with a prestigious, best in class MSSP who are looking for multiple analysts to join them. They work with an array of clients and you’ll get exposure to different projects and tooling.  The role will involve both monitoring and responding to alerts raised by a variety of tools, proactive monitoring and investigation of incidents.

These roles require you to obtain or have SC Clearance, to work shifts and be on-site whilst working, in return they will offer unrivalled training and development including SANS courses. The client site is based near Gloucester.

The Role:

• Detailed data analysis

• Working on or escalating incidents when needed and playbook creation

• Proactively hunt or scan for threats

• Contribute to tuning the tools

• Conduct threat research

• Aid with the creation of detection signatures

• Work closely with clients providing suggestions where possible

• Support client engagements and or service meetings

• Act as an out of hours escalation point

Desired Skills:

• A detail understanding of the core discipline, including knowledge of computer networks, operating systems, software, hardware and security

• An understanding of cyber security risks associated with various technologies and ways to manage them

• A good working knowledge of various security technologies such as network and application firewalls, host intrusion prevention and anti-virus

• Any relevant academic or industry specific training
