Account Director (Healthcare)


The Account Director works in a senior consultative field sales capacity and is responsible for identifying and developing strategic engagements within a defined client account set. This person understands the importance of deep and lasting client relationships and knows just how to build them. Responsible for leading and driving sales engagements, our Account Director will be excited by the chance to solve critical business challenges, working right alongside our clients to make sure theyre armed with the right solution and service for their organisation.


Role Responsibilities

Ownership of the client relationship, ensuring it is nurtured both within the account and internally

Development of defined account plans

Engaging at various levels within the client account to build relationships and broaden our understanding of the business needs

Proactively identify and develop transformational sales opportunities within a defined account set building a pipeline that meets and exceeds gross margin targets

Developing excellent peer relationships

Providing accurate forecasting with strong conversion to new business from both existing clients and new clients where possible

Supporting the Sales Director and Marketing in refining innovative go to market messaging and strategy

Maintaining high-quality up to date CRM data and any other associated business systems so that account intelligence across the business is optimal

Driving strategic account plans to a high standard and ensuring they are both visible and understood across the business


Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Essential – Selling into public sector markets, healthcare experience highly desirable

Essential Ability to demonstrate a deep understanding of outcome based selling and successful navigation of strategic IT challenges

Essential - Sales portfolio experience comprising of some (or all); consultancy, professional services and managed service solutions across LAN/WAN/UC/EUC/DC/Cloud/business transformation and application arenas

Essential - Demonstrable track record of winning engagements through complex, consultative sales engagements requiring bespoke service solutions

Essential - Consistent track record of meeting or exceeding annual gross margin targets

Desirable – Relevant sales qualifications and/or training

Ability to manage complex, bespoke solution sales cycles that involve engagement with multiple stakeholders at all levels across disparate and complex organisations

Excellent communication and negotiation skills, verbal & written

Excellent level of numeracy

Leadership skills to enable management of virtual bid and account teams, and to mentor junior members of the sales team

Ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with key individuals at all levels both externally and internally to achieve client success.

Structured, self-sufficient and consistent approach to meeting or exceeding targets and managing forecasts, including outstanding time.

A strong sense of urgency and a passion for overcoming the challenges involved with working in a fast-paced sales environment.

Flexible approach, with a willingness to go the extra mileto meet client, vendor and internal deadlines
