Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and gap analysis
- Provide virtual CISO (vCISO) consultancy, working with senior leadership to identify and address information security risks, and develop strategies to improve security frameworks
- Perform detailed control reviews and remediation actions based on Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) frameworks such as ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials
- Offer expert advice on technical security governance, incident response, and security awareness training
- Collaborate with internal leadership, cybersecurity, and sales teams to support project tenders and deliver pre-sales support
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience developing cybersecurity strategies and frameworks; vCISO consultancy experience is a plus
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex security concepts to non-technical audiences
- Experience engaging with C-level stakeholders is highly valued
- Familiarity with industry frameworks like ISO27001, NIST, and Cyber Essentials/Plus
- Proven experience in a cybersecurity consultancy role, with a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, protocols, and standards
- Demonstrated success in managing multiple client engagements, working closely with sales, presales, and technical teams
- Proficiency with common cybersecurity tools and an up-to-date knowledge of current cybersecurity threats, trends, and mitigation strategies
